Disease
When a dog swallows an infected host,

enter the circulation. After 10 days, they
reach the right ventricle and the pulmonary

the females lay embryonated eggs. These
develop into L1 larvae, which enter the alveoli
and bronchi, migrate to the trachea to
be swallowed and eliminated in the faeces.
They are eliminated intermittently, alternating
between periods of high elimination
and periods of no parasites in the faeces.
